Date of Wedding: 10th August 2013 Marriage Location: All Saints' Church, Lopen, South Petherton, Somerset Reception: Ina's House, Lopen, South Petherton, Somerset
James and Tasmin invited 120 guests to witness their wedding at All Saints Church at Lopen, Somerset and a further 50 guests were invited to join them for their evening celebrations in the marquee at their parent's house. All Saints Church has a rich history and there is record of the first chaplain dating back to 1253.
Dress code for the day was formal with the groomsmen dressed in grey tails and silver waistcoats - all cravats and accessories were purple which was the chosen colour scheme for the day.
Tasmin asked her friend Benita to be her Maid of Honour and she did a fabulous job ensuring that her bride looked stunning at all times during the day - Tamsin's three other bridesmaids were Philippa (Tamsin's sister) - Hannah (Tamsin's other sister) and Chenelle (James's sister). The bridesmaids looked wonderful dressed in strapless floor-length purple dresses.
James asked his friend David to act as his best man and the Ushers were made up of - Mark (James's Brother) - Neil (James's Brother), Mansour (friend) and Chris (friend). They all looked fantastic (especially the shoes - good choice James!).
For the after service celebrations, Tamsin's parents had erected a marquee in their back garden. The marquee had been dressed beautifully with much care and attention from the many willing volunteers.
The Village of Lopen provided us with a stunning backdrop for our photographs and I am grateful to Tamsin and James for indulging me and talking the hike to the corn filed - I'm sure you will be rewarded with a great shot.
We all had a wonderful day - I was exceptionally well looked after by Tamsin's Mother and Sisters - for which I was very grateful - the weather behaved the whole day - and we were treated to a splendid country wedding. Lovely west country wedding - lovely couple, friends and family - thank you for allowing me to share in your special day.
