Date of Wedding: 20th October 2012 Marriage Location: St John's Church, Yeovil Reception: The White Post, Yeovil
Mike and Vicky invited 40 guests to their wedding and their evening celebration.
The dress code was formal and Vicky chose blues and purples as her colour theme.
Vicky had 3 bridesmaids Beth (Mike's sister and Chief Bridesmaid), Natalie (Vicky's cousin) and Melissa (also Vicky's cousin). The bridesmaid did a wonderful job all day with Beth helping by giving me grateful support arranging Vicky's dress as required - thank you Beth.
The boys were also magnificently turned out in morning suits with matching purple accessories. Mike had Kim as his Best Woman and his sister Katherine took on the duties of Usher.
The marriage ceremony took place in the wonderfully impressive building of St. John's Church, Yeovil, Somerset which is a 14th century grade 1 listed building.
The wedding was always intended to be a formal but intimate occasion with just close friends and family sharing in the experience. I have to say the service conducted by Curate Tim Lewis and for me it was one of the best services I have attended this year. Dave and Di Liszka gave readings and prayers which provided a super conclusion to a really wonderful marriage service.
After the wedding service the bridal party and guests reconvened at the The White Post Rimpton, a pub that is situated right on the border of Somerset and Dorset. Historically there were two bars on the premises, one in Dorset and the other in Somerset, which had different licensing hours in each county. Many locals still remember having to move from one bar to the other in order to gain an extra 30 minutes drinking at open and closing times.
The weather once again behaved itself in a year of unpredictable highs and lows. From the White Post patio the gorgeous evening sunset provided a perfect backdrop to mark the start of the evening celebrations.
I was very happy to see both bride and groom enjoy their special day as much as they did - I feel very privileged to have been part of the day and was so pleased that you chose me to capture your wedding images.
