Date of Wedding: 8th June 2013 Marriage Location: St Mary's Church, Donhead St Mary, Somerset Reception: The Cherry Orchard, Shaftesbury, Somerset
Ben and Kelly invited 60 guests to witness their wedding at St Mary's Church at Donhead St Mary and a further 50 guests were invited to join them for their evening celebrations in the marquee at Cherry Orchard near Shaftesbury.
Dress code for the day was formal with the groomsmen dressed in black tails and grey pinstriped trousers - all cravates and accessories were purple which was the chosen colour scheme for the day.
Kelly asked her friend Nikki to be her Maid of Honour and a great job she did as well - especially helping me with Kelly's Dress making sure that it looked at it's fabulous best in all of the pictures - thank you Nikki.
Ben asked his younger brother Ali to act as his best men and he too did a super job - great speech Ali. However, young Matthew stole the show who was also dressed in a miniature version of the morning suits worn on the day.
In terms of the weather we could not have asked for a better day - the sun shone brightly all day in a cloudless sky - a nice sunny day is not everything on a wedding day but goodness it certainly helps and what a lovely day we all had.
St Mary's Church looked beautiful bedecked with an array of flowers which complemented the purple colour scheme.
For the after service celebrations, Kelly and Ben had erected a marquee in their parent's field in Cherry Orchard Lane. The marquee had been dressed beautifully with a centre piece on each table being a tractor or the like - there was a definite tractor theme to the day with two full sized fully restored vintage tractors adorning the marquee entrance - wonderful!
I'd like to thank the owners of Cherry Orchard Farm who allowed us to use their gardens to take some 'special' pictures of the bride and groom - the pictures we took will provide Ben and Kelly with some super images to remind them of their magnificent wedding day.
We all had a wonderful day - the sun shone the whole day - there were skittles in the field - a bouncy castle for the children (and adults to be fair) - bales of hay for guests to sit on - plenty for all to eat and drink - a lovely west country wedding - I thoroughly enjoyed the day
Ben and Kelly thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day - loved every minute.
