Date of Wedding: 5th April 2014
Marriage Location: Merriott Church, Merriott, Somerset
Reception: Marquee - Merriott

Tom and Lia invited approximately 100 guests to witness their marriage at All Saints Church, Merriott. An April wedding is always unpredictable and as far as the weather is concerned for a lot of the day we were treated to low mist and a fine mizzle. However, it didn’t prevent everyone having a fabulous day and it did manage to relent for a few short periods to allow us out to take some beautiful pictures.

The Dress code for this wedding was traditional and the couple chose a deep red for their colour theme.

Lia had 2 bridesmaids – Natalie (Lia’s sister) who was Lia’s Maid of Honour and Megan – who was the daughter of a friend of Lia. Both wore stunning deep red dresses according to the colour theme for the day. Lia also had two of the prettiest Flower Girls – both nieces – Sophie and Katie – both Flower Girls were dressed in white.

Lia herself wore a beautiful diamond white floor length, strapless, A line wedding dress with a generous train - the dress was trimmed with beads, crystals and sequins and the same beading was used with a detailed design to embellish the side of the dress. Lia wore it beautifully and looked stunning.

Tom chose his friend Garry as his Best Man and his Usher was his brother Tris. Tom and Lia’s sons Harry and Jack acted as Pageboys for the day and what a great job they did. Little Harry also gave his Mother away during the wedding service – well done Harry you did a fabulous job.

The Groom and groomsmen were dressed in formal grey morning suits, ivory waistcoats with red cravats and matching accessories and buttonholes. The men looked a treat including the little pageboys Harry and Jack.

It was lovely to see Tris, Lucy and Sophie (their new addition to the family) – whose wedding I photographed almost 3 years ago now – goodness how time flies – great to catch up.

The Reception was held in a Marquee in Merriott – it looked tremendous – what a lot of work to organise a marquee for a wedding and this was no exception – it looked incredible and I’m sure the kids (and a lot of the adults as well) enjoyed the bouncy castle.

Loved the speeches but I have to say for me the stand out speech was Tris’s – Tris really dished the dirt on his brother – great fun.

Tom and Lia - what a lovely Wedding Day - I'm so pleased you asked me to capture your wedding images - have a great honeymoon and I look forward to showing you your wedding images on your return.
