Date of Wedding: 31st August 2013 Marriage Location: St Georges Church, Dunster, Somerset Reception: The Tithe Barn Community Hall, Dunster, Somerset
Phil and Emily invited 100 guests to witness their wedding at St Georges Church at Dunster, Somerset and a further 60 guests were invited to join them for their evening celebrations in the Tithe Barn Community Hall, Dunster.
St Georges Church in one form or another has been present in it's current location since 1097 and has had a fascinating history - beautiful church and well worth a visit.
Dress code for the day was formal with the groomsmen dressed in three quarter length. single breasted dark Prince Edward suits and white waistcoats - all cravats and accessories were pink which was the chosen as part of the colour scheme for the day.
Emily asked her sister Kate to be her Chief Bridesmaid, with her other bridesmaids being - Toni (Friend), Claire (Friend), Ellen (Phil's Niece) and our wonderful Flower Girl was Isla (Phil's Goddaughter). The bridesmaids looked wonderful in their floor-length deep blue dresses.
Phil asked his friend Mike to act as his best man and the Ushers were made up of - Mike (Phil's Brother) - Chris (Friend), Si (Friend). The Groomsmen also had the addition of the magnificent Jacob (Emily's Godson) who was Page Boy for the day. The bridal party were great fun and helped created many of the stunning images that we captured on the day.
For the after service celebrations the bridal party and guests walked the short distance to the Tithe Barn Community Hall where the grounds were prepared for fun and games - the crazy golf certainly proved a big success.
The barn itself looked fabulous - it never ceases to amaze me the amount of work that goes into preparing a reception area - well done to all concerned - it looked a treat.
The Village of Dunster provided us with a stunning backdrop for our photographs. Phil and Emily had already decided where they would like their 'special photographs' taken and what a good choice it turned out to be. I particularly enjoyed our little trip to the Pack Horse Bridge - unforgettable!
The speeches were marvellous and oh the singing was just wonderful - not a dry eye in the house.... including me.
Fabulous wedding - great choice of location - lovely, lovely day - thanks for allowing me to be involved.
