Date of Wedding: 21st May 2016
Marriage Location: Castleton Church, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 3JG
Reception: Folke Golf Centre, Folke Lane, Alweston, Sherborne DT9 5HR

Shayne & Maria invited approximately 120 guests to witness their wedding at Castleton Church, Sherborne, Somerset and a further 70 guests were invited to join them for their evening celebrations at the Folke Golf Club, Alweston, Sherborne.

Castleton Church has a very interesting history - Lord Digby who rebuilt the ruinous church that was built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1601 built the current church.

The Church is full of character – and was justly admired by Alexander Pope who wrote:

“The next pretty thing that catched my eye was a neat chapel for the use of the town’s people (who are too numerous for the cathedral). My Lord modestly told me he was glad I liked it, because it was of his own architecture.”

Dress code for the day was formal with the groomsmen dressed in three quarter length, single breasted dark tails, white waistcoats and dark trousers - cravats were cream with matching pocket-handkerchiefs.

Maria asked her daughters Stacey-Louise and Kayleigh to be her Bridesmaids along with her daughter in law Amy. The Flower Girls were made up of Ella (Maria's Niece) and Mia-Rose (grand-daughter). Maria's Bridesmaids and Flower Girls did a wonderful job supporting their bride and making sure she had the most fabulous of days - well done girls.

Maria wore a traditional full length white strapped wedding dress with a veil and puddle train. The Bridesmaids wore full length strapless dresses that were champagne in colour. The Ella wore a three quarter length white lace dress with straps and little Mia wore a white Flower Girl dress with a hint of attitude - lol. The support team looked wonderful.

Shayne asked his friend Marc to act as his best man and his son Danny and friend Darren to be the Usher for the day.

The weather for once was against us today and it did rain for the majority of the day preventing us from getting those beautiful outdoor shots. Still it didn't stop us having a fantastic day and getting some great indoor shots. It was a fun day and the weather certainly didn't interfere with those guests that wanted to follow the FA Cup Final on the television.

Rain or no rain it was a fabulous day and we thoroughly enjoyed it - fabulous wedding - lovely day - thanks for allowing us to be involved.
