Date of Wedding: 24th May 2014
Marriage Location: Dillington House, Ilminster, Somerset
Reception: Dillington House, Ilminster, Somerset

Steve and Bev invited approximately 80 of their close friends and family to witness their marriage at Dillington House, Nr Ilminster, Somerset. Dillington House dates back to the 16th Century and was the former home of Prime Minister Lord North. It is built in the Jacobean style and is rated grade 2 by English Heritage. It is a fantastic venue for Weddings which Bev and Steve obviously realised.

The Dress code for this wedding was traditional and the couple chose blue for their colour theme.

Bev asked her daughter – Maria to be Chief Bridesmaid and her cousins Sophie and Lucy to be her other two bridesmaids. All three bridesmaids did a magnificent job looking after their bride for the day – well done girls.

Sophie wore pink knee length dress, Lucy wore a blue knee length dress whilst Maria wore a full length blue dress with a jacket that complemented the Bride’s dress wonderfully.

Bev herself wore a beautiful predominately blue dress, which was patterned with a lace overlay. A beautiful dress in which Bev looked stunning.

Steve chose his brother Rob as his best men and his son Paul as his Usher. Between them they managed to keep Steve on track for the day and made a major contribution to a memorable day.

The Groom and groomsmen were dressed in formal black morning suits, ivory waistcoats with a paisley design as well as blue cravats and accessories to match the colour theme for the day.

The Dillington team worked tirelessly throughout the day and provided Steve and Bev with the beautiful wedding that they deserved.

As seems to have been the case for most of the early part of this year the weather forecast was not good and true to form it did rain for the majority of the day. Consequently, most of the wedding pictures were taken indoors but we did manage to steal the odd 5 minutes to capture a few images in the beautiful grounds of Dillington House – however, on this occasion the rain managed to win the day.

From what I could see the rain didn’t dampen the spirits of Bev or Steve, who regardless of the weather had a fabulous day.

Steve and Bev - what a lovely Wedding Day (if not a little damp)- thank you for asking me to capture your wedding images – I’m sure in between the showers we have managed to capture some great images.
