Date of Wedding: 17th June 2017 Marriage Location: The Orangery,Sherborne Castle, Sherborne, Dorset Reception: Thornford Village Hall, Thronford, Somerset
Dale & Kelly invited approximately 70 guests to witness their wedding at Sherborne Castle in Dorset and a further 50 guests joined them at the Thornford Village Hall to celebrate their marriage.
Sherborne Castle is the most fabulous venue for a wedding and never lets you down. It is now over 400 years old – built by Sir Walter Raleigh and the grounds created by Capability Brown – you can’t have any better pedigree than that. The Castle and Grounds provided a wonderful backdrop and the pictures as a result were fabulous.
Dress code for the day was formal with the groomsmen and Page Boy dressed in grey tails and waistcoats with matching accessories. Kelly asked Paula (her Sister) and friends Alfie, Carla, Claire, Sophie and Emma to be her Bridesmaids.
Kelly wore a traditional floor length white dress with an empire waistline and strapless sweetheart shaped neckline. The bodice also had an over-lace which formed over-the-shoulder straps. The dress had a mid-length train and Kelly decided to wear a short veil. The Bridesmaids wore floor length grey dresses which with straps and a sweetheart neckline. Needless to say the bridal party looked stunning.
Dale asked his friend Mike to be his Best Man, and his Ushers were made up of Nick, Matt and Steven. Dale also had his 5 year old son Brodie as his Page Boy
The weather was spectacular – in fact for me it was too hot – I nearly melted – goodness know how everyone else felt in their wedding regalia. Still much better than rain.
Everyone had a great day and certainly the weather helped.
