Date of Wedding: 27th April 2014 Marriage Location: Hornsbury Mill, Hornsbury Hill, Chard, Somerset Reception: Hornsbury Mill, Hornsbury Hill, Chard, Somerset
Pete and Rose invited approximately 60 of their close friends and family to witness their marriage at Hornsbury Mill, Nr Chard, Somerset. Hornsbury Mill is a superb example of an early 19th century corn mill, which has been refurbished to create a wonderful venue for weddings. The Dress code for this wedding was traditional and the couple chose lilac and pink for their colour theme.
Rose asked Pete’s daughters – Emma and Catherine to be her bridesmaids for the day and they carried out their bridesmaid’s duties magnificently – as well as taking care of young Ben and Noah – well done girls.
The girls wore pink A line, knee length dresses with straps and a crossover neckline.
Rose herself wore a beautiful white floor length, strapless, A line wedding dress with a sweat heart neckline, beautifully crafted shoulder straps and a puddle train - the dress was beautifully designed wit crystals and sequins. Rose wore the dress beautifully and looked stunning.
Pete chose the husbands of his daughters – Darren & Dean – as his best men and their two young boys Ben and Noah as the two Page Boys. They all managed to look after Pete wonderfully well and helped provide the happy couple with a memorable day.
The Groom and groomsmen were dressed in formal grey morning suits, ivory waistcoats with a paisley design as well as lilac cravats and accessories to match the colour theme for the day.
Hornsbury Mill provided the couple and their guests with an ‘Afternoon Tea’ which I have to say was a new experience for me but to the credit of the Mill and their team it was certainly a most magnificent display and judging from the reactions of the guests the Afternoon Tea was certainly as good as it looked.
The weather forecast was always going to provide a challenge as far as the photographs were concerned and I have to thank and congratulate the wedding party and guest for cheerfully accepting the need to dodge the rain showers to try and get our outdoor images – the reward will be a magnificent album that I’m sure the couple will treasure for years to come.
Pete and Rose - what a lovely Wedding Day - thank you for asking me to capture your wedding images – I’m sure in between the showers we have managed to capture some great images.
