Date of Wedding: 16th August 2014 Marriage Location: Haselbury Mill, Haselbury Plucknett, Nr. Crewekerne, Somerset Reception: Haselbury Mill, Haselbury Plucknett, Nr. Crewekerne, Somerset Ricky and Tara invited approximately 60 of their close friends and family to witness their marriage at Haselbury Mill, Nr Crewekerne, Somerset.
Ricky and Tara's wedding was probably the most memorable wedding that I have ever been involved with but unfortunately all for the wrong reasons. The night before the wedding Ricky was involved in an accident, which resulted in him receiving, a fractured eye socket, a broken wrist - horrific facial injuries and much much more. Due to the nature of his injuries he was advised to cancel his wedding so that urgently needed surgery could be undertaken. Ricky being Ricky decided that come what may he was going to marry Tara on the day that they had planned.
A much-curtailed wedding took place before an exhausted Ricky was taken back to his room to rest. The wedding party and gusts did their best to try and provide the couple with a 'normal' wedding but it was very difficult.
I know just how much Tara and Ricky were looking forward to their special day and I also know how much money time and effort they had both put into this wedding to make it a day that they both so much wanted. It was terribly sad to see events destroy this day that everyone was looking forward to so much.
Still the show had to go on and it did - Tara and her bridesmaids looked fabulous as did the reception venue.
The Dress code for the day was traditional and the couple chose yellow for their colour theme.
Tara asked her sister Gemma to be her Maid of Honour and her younger sister Sarah as her bridesmaid. Ricky and Tara's daughters Bella and Bonnie were Flower Girls and they were just adorable.
The bridesmaids wore full length, single strapped grey/light purple dresses and I wont even start to explain the trouble we had with one of the zips on a bridesmaid dress. The flower girls wore knee length white dresses with a pink sash and flower.
Tara herself wore a beautiful white full-length dress with a long train and veil. The dress was strapless with a sweet heat neckline. .
Ricky chose his brother Jamie as his bestman and his other two brothers Ryan and Robbie as Ushers.
The Groom and groomsmen were dressed in grey suits and accessories to match the colour theme for the day.
Although not the day that Ricky and Tara planned it was still a special day and will certainly be a day that everyone will remember. A few weeks after the wedding, when Ricky had recovered from his injuries myself and my second photographer Di Raison asked Tara and Ricky to put their wedding clothes back on and we returned to Haslebury Mill to capture the sort of photographs we were hoping to get first time around.
