Date of Wedding: 13th October 2012 Marriage Location: Barwick Church, Barwick, Yeovil, Somerset Reception: Northover Manor, Ilchester, Somerset
James and Maisy invited 80 guests to witness their wedding at Barwick Church and a further 40 guests were invited to join them for their evening celebrations at the Northover Manor, Ilchester, Somerset.
Dress code for the day was formal with No.1 uniforms worn by some of the service personnel present. Maisy chose green and silver for her colour theme.
Maisy had three bridesmaids Sophie (James's niece), Laura (friend) and Claire (Trev - friend). All three wore full length dresses in a green to compliment the colour theme.
James had two best men - David (James's brother) and Colin (James's brother in law). In addition Maisy's brother Adam undertook Usher duties for the day. The groomsmen wore morning suits with silver accessories except for Adam who wore the British Army No. 1 uniform.
In a week of unpredictable weather it once again managed to behave itself and provided us with a beautiful sunny day (if not a little chilly later on in the day).
Barwick Church looked at its splendid best bedecked with an array of white, cream and yellow flowers. As ever the pew bench ends that date back to 1533 caused its usual interest amongst guests.
Northover Manor also looked splendid with its magnificent large oak framed function room which is enclosed by glazed walls that overlook the gardens and the countryside beyond the river Yeo.
I'd like to congratulate James for resisting his overwhelming natural urge to hide from the camera - like all of us I'm sure he was aware of the need to make sure that Di's lists were delivered - checking mine Di ASAP.
This was a super wedding as I new it would be - James and Maisy are a super couple and it was lovely to see them so happy. Maisy was ready with plenty of time to spare in the morning and I am convinced this played a big part in setting the mood for a relaxed and stress free day - or maybe that was just down to this lovely couple.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day - loved every minute.
