Date of Wedding: 11th June 2016
Marriage Location: Milborne Port, Dorset
Reception: The Grosvenor Arms, High Street, Shaftesbury, Dorset SP7 8JA

Chris & Natalie invited approximately 70 guests to witness their wedding at St John's Church, Milborne Port and all were invited to join the couple to celebrate their marriage at The Grosvenor Arms, Shaftesbury.

Natalie chose her parent's house in Dorchester for her preparation venue and I was surprised when I arrived that only two of the three bridesmaids were present. Unfortunately, Georgina, the third bridesmaid, had broken a bone in her foot the night before. However, in true British spirit Georgina attended the wedding on crutches and undertook as many of her bridesmaid's duties as was possible.

St John's Church is a grade 1 listed church, it has a rich history and parts of it date back to the Norman Conquest - well worth a visit.

Dress code for the day was formal with the groomsmen dressed in blue lounge suits, grey waistcoats and cream cravats and matching pocket-handkerchiefs.

Natalie asked her friends Nicola and Georgina along with Laura - her sister in law - to be her bridesmaids for the day. The bridesmaids looked gorgeous in their full length, mint green bridesmaids' dresses.

Natalie wore a white, floor length, A-line dress with a strapped bateau neckline, empire waistline and chapel length train. She looked absolutely stunning.

Chris asked his friend Dave to act as his Best Man and Laura's brother Nick to be the Usher for the day.

The weather forecast was bleak and promised rain but I was so grateful that it managed to stay away for the day and in fact the suna came out later in the day and turned into a very nice day. Thank you!

England were playing Russia in the 2016 Euros later in the day and that did become a bit of a distraction.

Memorable photo opportunities during the day included the pretty little clapper bridge that we stopped at in Milborne Port (a favourite meeting place for our couple when they were younger) and of course the famous Gold Hill - great fun.

Lovely wedding - fun day and two super families - thank you fro asking us to be part of your fabulous day.
