Date of Wedding: 30th March 2013 Marriage Location: Yeovil Registry Office Reception: Tamburinos/Ivel Barbarians Rugby Club, Yeovil
Dean and Rachel invited approximately 30 guests to witness their marriage at the Yeovil Registry Office. It was chilly for the time of the year but we were so lucky with the weather as it was dry and plenty of blue sky on display.
Dress code for this wedding was traditional and the couple chose a deep Royal Blue for their colour theme with the younger bridesmaids dressed in a pretty blush pink.
Rachel had 5 bridesmaids in all - they all looked gorgeous - they were made up of her two friends Carol (Chief Bridesmaid) and Rose, with the younger bridesmaids being Erin, Niamh and of course the little one who stole the show - Brook (2 years old) - so sweet!
Rachel herself was dressed in a beautiful champagne coloured wedding dress with a flowing train - it was a stunning dress for a stunning bride.
Dean chose his friend Mark as his best man and Malcolm (Rachel's step father), Kyle (Rachels' son) and Kyle (Dean's son) as Ushers.
All the groomsmen were dressed in formal morning suits with black tails, ivory waistcoats and deep blue cravats. They looked incredible.
After a quick and chillish photo session in the gardens to the rear of the Registry Office we all decanted to Tamburinos where 60 more guest were awaiting the arrival of Mr and Mrs Kirkland.
Tamburinos provided the couple with a memorable afternoon and as you would expect everyone was singing the praises of the quality of the food provided.
The entertainment for the afternoon was provided by a Somerton trio called - Take Two - great fun and great value - they really encouraged everyone to get into the spirit of the celebration.
Stand out moment of the day for me was... sorry Dean .. it was the best Man's speech - Mark's speech was up there with the best - I want a copy.
After Tamburinos I took the bride and groom off to Goldenstones where we had some special photographs taken of the newlyweds.
The evening celebrations were continued at The Ivel Barbarians Rugby club for which 150 guests were invited. I only stayed for a short while but I just knew that the evening celebration was going to provide a superb finale to a wonderful wedding day.
Dean & Rachel what a lovely Wedding Day - it was a privilege to share in it and thank you for asking me to be the person to capture your wedding day photographs.
