Date of Wedding: 6th August 2016 Marriage Location: St Bartholomew's Church, Pyle Lane, Yeovilton, Somerset BA22 8EX Reception: Northover Manor, Ilchester, Somerset BA22 8LD
Roger & Jo invited approximately 70 guests to witness their wedding at St Bartholomew's Church, Yeovilton, Somerset and all were invited to join the couple to celebrate their marriage at The Northover Manor, Ilchester
The Church of St Bartholomew was built around 1300. The church still contains some fabric and fittings from the 14th and 15th centuries but underwent a major restoration in the Victorian era. The church fell into disrepair in the 20th century but has been taken over and restored as the Fleet Air Arm’s Memorial Church following links since World War II with the nearby airbase RNAS Yeovilton.
Dress code for the day was formal with the groomsmen dressed in blue tailed suits and waistcoats with pink cravats and matching pocket-handkerchiefs.
Jo had 4 bridesmaids - her sister Kate, Roger's sister Chantelle, Niece, Kianna and her friend Stacey. They all looked fabulous in their full-length pink dresses with a high neckline and lace shoulder straps.
Jo wore a white, floor length, A-line dress with lace shoulder straps and a sweetheart neckline. Jo wore a short veil. Jo looked fabulous in her wedding dress.
Roger asked his friend Nigel to be his Best Man and his Ushers were made up of his friends Kirk, Kenol and Sharn. The weather behaved itself all day, although I think it still may have been a bit cool for Roger's Mum and Dad who had travelled all the way from the Caribbean to attend their son's wedding day.
We had a great day at the Northover Manor with the stand out moment for me must have been the 50+ group photos that we took - expertly organised by the very efficient Ushers - they told me they were good and they were.
